Viorel Copolovici is a chef with a mission of transforming food into a memorable experience.

Viorel is a professionally trained chef, with a long and diverse experience, prior to finding his personal mission in the kitchen. He studied journalism, worked in marketing for more than 10 years, reaching top management positions, then chose cooking as a vocation. He ran a successful culinary blog, two restaurants and completed his studies at one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world - Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute of London.

Viorel believes his personal mission is to transform food into a memorable experience. His deepest passion is to create unique, completely customised culinary experiences for the clients he works with. He believes that a key part of his mission in the kitchen is to educate people about the importance of fresh ingredients, sourced locally and grown responsibly and the art of honouring those ingredients by preparing and mixing them creatively.

Over the years, he has facilitated numerous cooking demonstrations and practical workshops, both for professional cooks as well as for amateurs. He regularly hosted private lunches and dinners in his culinary studio in Bucharest and facilitated team-cooking experiences for groups - large and small - from various companies. He has worked closely with different corporate partners, creating experiential events with extremely diverse themes - creative pairings of wine or beer with outstanding food, exploring ethnic cuisine, discovering certain ingredients or cooking techniques.

Since 2017, Viorel has been reaching students all over the world with his online cooking courses on Udemy.

In 2019 he moved, with his family, to Australia and he now happily lives and cooks on the Sunshine Coast. There, in a beautiful place by the ocean, he keeps on learning and weaving creative stories on plates, spreading the love for food as an uplifting experience, not just as nourishment.

ESSENTIAL COOKING SKILLS

When one takes up cooking, the amount of information, recipes and suggestions can be overwhelming. It's easy to get lost in a sea of recipes, to spend time pondering WHAT to cook and miss one of the most important aspects when it comes to preparing a great meal - the HOW. The real success of a dish comes from correct preparation techniques just as much as it comes from high quality ingredients, flavour combinations or creative plating. 

In this course you will find some of the most important 17 techniques that any cook, anywhere in the world, be they amateur or professional, absolutely needs to use in his kitchen. They have been developed and perfected over generations by professional chefs and, for many years, have been set as golden standards in international cuisine.

MORE ESSENTIAL COOKING SKILLS

This is the follow up to Viorel’s first course - Essential Cooking Skills. In this course you will Master more advanced cooking techniques which can then be used to create an endless variety of dishes. You will understand the HOW of cooking, before thinking of the WHAT to cook.

The basic skills covered in the course are: cooking beef fillet, rack of lamb, duck breast, veloute sauce, creamy omelette, deboning chicken, making a French onion soup, cooking fish stock, tomato concasse, mushroom duxelles or making French fries cooked three times.

KETO DIET PRINCIPLES AND RECIPES

In this course, Viorel joins hands with a ketogenic diet specialist to explore the principles of the keto diet and also prepare keto dishes that everyone can cook at home or even order in a keto friendly restaurant. 

Both Viorel and Cristina have gone through the ketogenic experience before deciding to create this course. Cristina has lost more than 60 pounds (about 28 kg) with the keto diet before going on to study it professionally and to become a certified ketogenic specialist. Viorel started to live keto in May 2018 and lost about 30 pounds (14 kg) in the first 4-5 months of diet.

The course is a very dynamic and easy to digest formula of applied knowledge. You will discover how the diet works, what are its fundamental rules and processes and learn very effective ways to achieve great results by knowing what to eat, while spending a minimum amount of time in your kitchen.
